A beautiful and interesting spot to visit to understand the art of printing back in the day. Highly recommend taking the free tour. Our guide was awesome.

A heritage that passed down for the 4th generation now. A museum that shows the old techniques of printing machine and little bit of the family behind it. Totally worth it for Typography and Printing Techniques educational skills and knowledge.

Came across this amazing printing services museum in Jonker Walk. Friendly tour guide with great explanation, provided us a great insight into how printing was done in the 1960s in Malacca. Entry fee of Rm 15 for Malaysians & rm 25 for non-Malaysian, but i personally had an eye-opening experience of learning about this part of this history, really worth the price!

Had the pleasure of visiting The Royal Press during a holiday and joined the guided tour led by Amin. Big kudos and two thumbs up to him for his enthusiasm and incredible knowledge of this national treasure. Highly recommend a visit if you're in Jonker and definitely join the guided tour!

We had the great opportunity to go by The Royal Press when we made our visit back from Melbourne, Australia. Greeted by cheerful people at the door, the team (especially our tour guide, Hannah) was very informative and took us on a tour to explain all the different types of machines available to print letterpress. I am amazed by how well the print items have been kept (The Royal Press was opened back in the 1930s) and it has made us appreciate the little things now, knowing that in the earlier days, it takes a long time, effort and hard work to get the news printed. If you are ever looking for a place to visit in Melaka, I would definitely recommend you to go to The Royal Press. You will be amazed!

This place is rich of history. The main attraction is the architecture. The hospitality also very good.

Finally made it here in early Dec21 and visited The Royal Press (TRP) together with my wife. My wife and I love all things about the heritage and traditions that go into printing via press. Amin, our guide for the evening, took us for a private tour from the front of the building and right to rear space, where all the vintage press printing blocks are stored. Learned so much from the tour as Amin is knowledge central with TRP's history. Amin's passion shone throughout the tour and his approach is candid yet relaxed. During our visit, Amin was just a one-man show taking care of TRP. So, be patient as Amin will be more than happy to attend to you. Lastly, for all visitors visiting TRP, please respect the heritage/history these walls encapsulate and do not steal/take any of the exhibit items (for the benefit our everyone to appreciate it).
