Timur Bay Beach Resort by Subhome

the maintenance is horrible!! the rooms weren't properly cleaned and the bedsheets weren't changed before we were booked in! absolutely disgusting with all the stains and leftovers of the previous guest. definitely not coming ever again.

Really recommend this place. Lots of eating places just infront and next to this residence area. However the pool and beach are a bit crowded during weekends. Do come here and enjoy your stay esp on weekdays.

the bedsheets are dirty with a lot of stains. the wall is dirty too. there's no basic needs given such as toothbrush, body wash, etc.. the pool guard is pretty rude haha. a lot if things are broken and seem unsafe like the broken light switches in the room. definitely not coming here again

Rating this as a tourist on holiday. Timurbay Seafront is like an AirBnB style accommodation, not a typical hotel. A variety of different "hosts" rent out different apartments so the quality will differ. This specific review is for: A Junior Suite by Subhome - Room number Block A, Floor 3, Room 02 and booked through booking.com In summary, I would not use Subhome again, but would consider using another of the companies at the same site. When looking inside their rooms they looked a lot cleaner and better maintained. This is not a typical hotel experience, but like an airbnb. Pick up your keys and then no room service, bottled water, no wifi. They had the potential to be quite good if they just solved the CLEANLINESS issue. It had adequate furniture and furnishings for a short stay, free parking and good security on site. The location is nice and if you have a car, the restaurants, shops and town are easy to get to. The gym is quite good offering full squat racks. The massive downside is that the suite is very dirty. OVERPOWERING smell of mold/damp as the bathroom lacks proper ventilation (The wind does not suck moisture out, just blows it further into the apartment). In just two days, even clothes that remained in suitcases stink of damp Dirty footprints on the wall in the single bedroom Visibly dusty shelves and lack of cleaning under the bed, sofa etc Long womens hair all over the floors, bathroom and washing machine Washing machine stinks of damp and has not been run through a cleaning cycle Tables have stains on the surface Your feet will be black from dirt if walking in the apartment barefoot Bedding has lots of old stains on it Towel visibly used, even had a hole in it! Honestly, it looks like they just put on new sheets and towels and called it a day. Overall I would avoid subhome and I am glad we only booked for a short stay. It is hard to feel relaxed in a dirty environment. Little things to make it feel homely are also missing, e.g. a single mug for hot drinks, no forks. The layout can be a little confusing as there are two tower blocks and parking is staggered. We checked in late after staff had left so only received instructions via whatsapp in Malay. Luckily we could figure out how to get keys and where to park etc but it might be a struggle for those without mobile phones.

I booked my 9th June stay at this resort via phone call on the 23rd of May. I was told the rate is RM200 per night but on the 9th of June at 8.42 a.m. the PIC texted me the rate increased to RM340. Since I booked early I was given an RM40 discount. I was disappointed that the resort gave such short notice. I just don't get it how they could do that to the guest. I was not satisfied with the room. There are no toiletries provided. No towels in the bathroom so I have to wait for the housekeeping to send them to me. The comforter and pillowcase got stained. This would be my first and last stay at this resort.

We stayed in the apartment on the 13th floor. The view is great. The room however...DIRTY. Look under the beds and you will see all kinds of rubbish. I swear there was an alcohol can among the rubbish. It is so disgusting. The balcony filled with cigarette buds, and the floor of the sliding door ? . When raining, it leaks and all those dirt comes to the floor in the house. ? Electrical equipments are barely working, you have an iron which does not heat up and a kettle which might explode any moment. There is no wifi and barely a phone line (redone & celcom). We mentioned all this when we checked out, and they replied "PKP lack of staff". No, when you guys opened for business you should hv done a thorough cleanup.

Nice beach, comfortable studio unit with big fridge, microwave & easy to find food nearby area. Restoran MakJah next to Swiss garden residence offer nice food with affordable price. The beach view was nice. Swimming pool was great. My kids love it. Definitely will come back for next time.

Nice place for home stay.. But think twice when you staying here it's good option for nearby beach and swimming pools.. The sad part is you won't get food ?? you need to go out very far for having meal. Just prepare yourself. If you have kids hard to find hotels nearby. 7/11 outside have. Other than difficult
