Mostly 3G rarely get 4G, often it says you have good signal but you canโ€™t use the internet. This was my experience from KL, Ipoh & Penang. I suggest trying a different provider.

Refused to sell tourist SIM that is advertised online for collection at this store. Only offered more expensive plans and were charging extra for SIM card

I don't know what's wrong with the staffs here when it comes to servicing customers. They act like you're disturbing them when you enter the store. No smile, no thank you. But, you can see that they're busy video chatting with friends. I'm an expat and every single time I came to top up when I arrive in KLIA2, the staffs here never failed to turned my mood sour. It's not like I'm asking for a 5 star service. I just hated the feeling that I'm a nuisance to their business.

Do not by any means do business with this company, especially at KLIA and KLIA2. They let people sell their products at the arrival to tourists under false pretenses. They will tell you you have unlimited data for as long as you want. They sell products that cost 9RMB up to 60RMB. No receipt, no ID verification. Do NOT buy from them, from anywhere since they let people scam others under their name!

For all foreigners who just arrived Malaysia and looking for a cheap and good service, DO NOT GO TO U-MOBILE STORE AT KLIA/KLIA2. I repeat, DO NOT GO TO THE U-MOBILE STORE AT KLIA/KLIA2, if you really want to get service from this provider, get the number/service outside. These are my following experience from the store at KLIA (even tho this review is for the one in KLIA2 but I couldn't find one for KLIA) I landed in Malaysia 2 days ago at KLIA and saw the U-mobile booth. I have been using U-mobile (both pre-paid and post-paid) for the past 2 years when I came back to Malaysia from overseas and they always work up to expectations (the kind of quality you get from that price). So I figured I would just do the same this year at KLIA since I was waiting for my ride home. While registering for the number, the Malay guy (around 30-40y/o) just seem genuinely uninterested in getting business at all, almost feel like I am begging him to sell me the service. After choosing the number I desired, he took my phone over for some set-up for around 5 minutes and just passed it back saying it's all done (Didn't ask for any ID/verification for registering purpose). I used it to make a phone call and send some messages and it works perfectly. HOWEVER, it DOESN'T WORK for the mobile data at all. After waiting 2 days for the data to "come online", I went to a U-mobile store near my house, and they told me my number is not registered and the only way for the data to work is if I register it and I would have to go to another store which is 1 hour away from where I was. There is nothing for them to do there. Since I am a Malaysian, so at least I know how and where to solve the problem. What if the same thing is faced by a foreigner who doesn't speak Malay at all? So I really wonder, U-Mobile, is this really the kind of service you provide for other people, especially foreigners at KLIA? Is this the first impression you want them to receive about Malaysia?

Far away to find the outlet to buy the tourist SIM with unlimited data for 7 days, and very disappointed because they said they are not selling the 7 days package. If they are not selling, why in the website stated the 7 days package. At last we didn't buy u mobile.

Remember you are in a different country, service and people are different wherever you go. I personally had a great experience. Needed data for a few weeks so grabbed a 10gb data sim for around ยฃ6.50 or RM38. Super easy, I asked a million questions and the lady set up my sim for me. She was even patient with me as I waited to check it would work with every single app I frequently use. Careful to check the texts, you will need to unsubscribe. Also simple and the lady behind the counter also unsubscribed for me. Super helpful and friendly service. She even advised me to get the Grab taxis as itโ€™s cheap and where to get them from. Very kind!
