★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Update: 1st order had problem on preserving the freshness. Operation Manager Mr Like quickly rectify the problem next day by sending us replacement by himself. The Premium Bara Chirashi Don and Hotate Foie Gras Ikura Don are scrumptious and very fresh. Thumbs up for Umi's food quality and good after sales service ?

A RM780 course but they serve those food that you can easily order at any other Japanese restaurant, nothing special and no beef ?
When serve sashimi plate, they give me those normal wasabi which you can buy in market not the instant grin wasabi
I feel like just having a normal Japanese dinner but paid 2000 including tax

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Tried their highest tier Umi Omakase, overall is just average and here are my comments,
1.Uni - has been told that air flown from the same day, unfortunately it do taste not as fresh as said.
2.Signature (Uni + Wagyu + Caviar + Truffle ) in a single mouth - too much good ingredient mixed up and unable to taste the true flavor.
3. Dessert - served with traditional japanese bean dessert, over sweetening.
4. Others - average

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Not worth the price. I felt it was extremely expensive compared to other omakase places in KL. Portion we got was super little considering the price we paid...
I saw one Japanese chef in the kitchen, but who served our sushi at counter were all non Japanese (which is no issue for me, the sushi they served were really fresh and tasty)

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ After being served a million IG ads of this place, I finally paid them a visit and sat at their bar for a lunch omakase. They have 4 different omakase options / price points and I went with the second most expensive one.
Uhhh nothing special? Their delivery boxes look pretty and generous but dine in is very average, especially at this price point. Nothing memorable and regular sushi pieces.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It was a nice dining experience even there was some minor disappointment. Celebrated my parents' wedding anniversary. My dad has a small appetite so not all the Omakase restaurants out there we can go as they normally need us to order the omakase for each person. Food was above average yet can be better. For the price paid, would expect a better experience. The way they serve the sushi and sashimi can be better as the hygiene should be taken into higher attention. One of my Otoro had a soft bone which I think it shouldn't happen in this kind of Japanese fine cuisine. The Chef - Looi was very attentive and apologized at once and compensate with another piece. No doubt they use all the premium ingredients such as Umi, Truffle, Otoro, Foie Gras etc, but would prefer them to be served in the more authentic way. We also ordered the Premium Chirashi Don where I enjoyed it very much. The dessert is the accomplished the meal which I love their mochi very much!
