β β β β β one of the best nyonya food i come across in Penang. Even though I rarely go back but I find this is decently good. Some of the dishes might be on the higher price tag but I felt with the quality ingredients they put in, I am willing to pay.
My parents were totally happy over this dinner and the eat everything clean and now bugging me to bring them back again with my brother. Will certainly be back.
both owner are very friendly. Keep it up.
REcommending:
1. Tau Yew bak
2. Asam Gulai (depends what fish you like to put in) - me of course stingray
3. Nasi Ulam
Optional : Otak Otak
PS: parking spot in Penang is always troublesome. SO i choose to go early dinenr for this to avoiid jam pack up limited parking spots. However next to them there is a huge parking space to be paid RM 2-4 per entry if I remember correctly

β β β β β Winnβs Cafe offers one of the best nyonya food in Penang. It is located at the housing area and overall, the food is good. This is what we tried:
Salted curry fish - not many places serve this combination, curry is thick and salty as what it implies
Braised pork in soy sauce - suitable for those who love fatty meat
Homemade tofu - not bad
Stir fry vege/mix vege - its good
Pie tee & otak otak - just ok

Winn's cafe is a charming little place.
The food is super delicious and authentic. Seriously very good Peranakan food. And, Winnie herself is such a wonderful host and very friendly.
Go try Winn's cafe the next time you are in Penang

-Jiuhu char's sambal is superb.
-Kapitan chicken is not so flavourful at the first taste, but eventually gets irresistable after many mouthfuls.
-Assam hae tbh is not good, too sweet/sour perhaps? unable to describe cause the taste is not balanced well
-Glazed pork belly so so
-Dint manage to try the bee koh moi cos they forgot my order

β β β β β It has been two long years since we have been able to come to experience Penang's delicious food and history. One of our goals is always to savour its authentic Nyonya / Peranakan cuisine which is really difficult to find other than in Penang or Malacca... cooked well of course! ?
After seeing all the positive reviews, we were crazy excited about dining at Winn's Cafe and considered ourselves extremely lucky to be able to get a reservation on short notice especially on Valentine's Day! Let me tell you, they did not disappoint and in fact, EXCEEDED all of our high expectations with their exceptional food and even greater customer service making for an UNFORGETTABLE dining experience!
As this was our first time, we asked for recommendations and the friendly staff suggested some incredible dishes and just the right amount to fill you up without being too full. Throughout the meal, we had the manager and even the owner Winnie come out to wish us happy Valentines Day and see how our meal was coming along. We took the opportunity to chat, all culinary questions and give our compliments to the chef for an amazing meal. The owner, seeing how much we were savoring every last bite, genterously sent over complimentary dessert(s) so we had 3 to enjoy!!
But the experience was not over even after we paid the bill! On her suggestion, we went outside to look at the organic herb garden and the owner and manager took time to come outside to give us a private tour pointing out all of the different herbs that go into their food! This was truly an exceptional, unique and UNFORGETTABLE dining experience. We look forward to coming back again and would highly encourage everybody to try their delicious food! The hype is real!

Fried chicken and the curry fish are so good. Not to mention their rice too.
Definitely will come back again.
*Of all the dishes on table, pie tee is was probably the least favorable one. Personally prefer the one by Nancy's Kitchen @ Malaccca.
