New management, but inherited menu and staff from their predecessor Ginza. The interior is slightly refreshed but familiar. I tried the Kiku set and I don’t think it’s great value for money at MYR 58.80 before service charge. Comes with chawanmushi, dobin mush, sautéed mushrooms (heavy butter taste), 2 tempura prawns + 3 tempura vegetables and a small chirashi bowl (not pictured cause it came quite late after they’ve served the incomplete set). The small chirashi bowl contained a tiny slice of scallop, 3-4 tiny slices of fish and half of a prawn. Come on, please be more generous.

Cozy, friendly staff, nice ambience and food and drink was disappointed.was ordered sake mojito and taste like mojito without mint, too much soda and lime and not really taste of sake. Cawanmushi was the worst i ever had. Tempura crunch was taste like fillet o fish in McD. I'm Not sure about the salad cabbage,no mayo is just a plain cabbage. Sashimi was too small and thin. Freshness was not there. Seriously this a place to enjoy ambience not for eating.

Need no teef to eat your beef. Melt-in-your-mouth Wagyu A5 available here. Jst tell the chef how you want your beef done and they will prepare for you perfectly. Good place to dine and drink with friends and family.

High quality of Japanese food provided here. The areas which need to improve were: 1st the seaweed turned soft when it placed on the ice. 2nd the Japanese Iberio pork cut with lots of fat. It seems that could be more focused on the sliced-cutting technique! Other than these 2 points, it shb be one of the best Japanese restaurants in Penang Island.

The food variety is great. The taste is great but the portion is a tad lesser. The raw fish slices were too thin for me and the okonomiyaki would be better if it was served hotter. Will recommend to others to try out Japanese food here.

Good food and ambience. Nice decor and stylish VIP room. Friendly and helpful staffs. We liked the oyster mentai, fish bento, salmon skin salad, Agedashi tofu, Cha Soba and tempura and butter squid. Recommended!

Overall the food is nice but some are not fresh and the teppanyaki chicken set is quite small pieces. Service is quite bad, the waitress is using the phone (typing) while taking order from me. How she can focus what I order while typing with her own phone. Almost mess up my order. Other waiter felt like he was sleeping and quite blur.
