★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Authentic and good food. The kids love the lemongrass grilled chicken rice and bun cha.The banh mi with lemongrass chicken was deemed slightly spicy but overall they overcame it.

The curry and the stew we ordered were diluted and quite bland. It has a home cooked taste if you like it but it isn’t there, a little amateurish.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Was in need of a warm herby meal to stoke the body as it was cold day. Kids were looking forward to noodles. Great restaurant with meals that are healthy and which packed a punch in flavour. Only thing for me was the menu didn't quite say which were cold and which were warm meals - besides pho. The wait as well was relatively long. Else, a great experience.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It's been almost 15 years since I last visited Hanoi and An Viet brought back a huge memory, namely the chả cá lã vọng dish where I tried both the original and the copy version in 2008.
I have to say this Vietnamese restaurant is worth the visit because they really give you more than what you expect, and for such a great price. The only thing that made the visit almost complete is if the staff were Vietnamese.
Of course, you cannot compare to the real thing, but this place gets it almost 90%. So. If you're missing some good Vietnamese food, An Viet is worth the visit. Dining here also made me rethink about booking a revisit trip to Hanoi.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Food is tasty and well prepared. The cold grilled pork salad, beef noodles and lemongrass chicken is recommended. My only gripe was that the tables were sticky. So that's a hygiene issue.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The super friendly staff are the reason I'll come back. The food was good as well. From the photo I posted, it was so good that nothing remained! ?
They have food from Hanoi (try the Bun Cha) which is quite different from other Vietnamese restaurants.
I also like the #savefood campaign that encourages us not to waste food. Do drop in and try it!

I always like their Vietnamese Seafood Sour Soup with Vermicelli, taste real food.
Also had the Vietnamese Pork Vermicelli Soup, nice la.
Suggestion to add a ring bell on each table, because we waived our hands to the waiter for many times when he kept walking in and out but he didn't see us until someone came out from kitchen and noticed us, for twice. ?
To me it is among the good Vietnamese restaurants, worth to revisit once in a while.
