★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I entered 2 rooms at Dorsett Hartamas. Which is the first room got a strong cigarette smell at level 6. I requested for another room and they help me fulfilled my request. The other room smells old furniture & carpet but it was okay compare the previous room smells cigarette. Its not recommended as its not value for money. Staff Prakash if im not mistaken his name wasn’t welcoming, no smile at all on his face. The interior of the room looks old and they only provide 2 hard pillow for you. The bath tub also leak, so after my daughter had her bath time, the entrance of the bathroom full with water. No need deposit. Parking will be charge RM3/entry. You need to pay using your touch n go first then go to the reception, they’ll credit back the other charges. We’re not very clear with the explanation at first. So for the first parking entry we got charged RM12/day ?

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Pretty bad experience for this hotel service line and cleaning part.
First of all hotel guest room living room table very dirty. Can see the last guest left over snack crumb or fried things in table edge. And during night till midnight dunno who keep slamming door or keep open and shut off. The next day I thought can handle nice mood having my breakfast. Well, is disappointed me. Breakfast area no any guys serve us and no any guy ask what guest room number u living. Front desk no people. Funny thing is saw a lady chef sitting with one your hotel staff outside breakfast area table chatting and Drinking coffee.
Food plate are not cleaning well also.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It was amazingly dirty. When we asked for towels we got thread bare old faded, used to be blue towels. The shower was not draining and weirdly the toilet and toilet paper holder are not very close to each other ?. The elevator is ridiculously slow. I did not care for this place and it is NOT deserving of ANY star rating. I was expecting an old, regal establishment, not an old dilapidating building. It doesn't help that they cannot even be bothered to vacuum the passageways. Walls have dirty smudges and carpet is FILTHY. You would do better in the Days Hotel.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A lovely cozy hotel tucked away in Hartamas area. We had a suite. Bed was very comfortable. Nice decent spread of breakfast. Loved the awesome view from rooftop bar.
Only setback... Long queues waiting for lift as only 2 lifts available.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ To start off, we had to queue for ages at the reception and there were no seating available for guests. After finally getting to the front, we had to deal with receptionists who were understandably exhausted; thus there were no smiles, no courteous conversations, making us feel rather unwelcome. This in itself left a sour taste in our mouths. Next, the room…when we first got it, all we wanted to do was rest but in less than a few hours we started feeling sick-headache, sore throat and stinging eyes. Turns out, we had black mould in the room. This is a health hazard and should be dealt with immediately Dorsett! Why you allow guests to even stay in such rooms is beyond me. My husband went down to the reception and got us another room on the 7th floor which didn’t have mould but was
just as filthy. The hot water only works for a while and then it’s all cold till the water in the seemingly small tank reheats. After breakfast the next morning, we were also locked out of our room because the battery for lock had run out. You can imagine going up and down at least 4 times while having to wait for the lift that takes forever as there are only two lifts in the hotel. Please take your money elsewhere as you can get better rooms for the same rates.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Stay was good, room was cozy. Phone was far away from bed.. I tried connecting to my bed plug, it didn’t connect. No menu booklet in the room, I wanted to order dinner, this is really sad.. amenities were very less.. maybe this is the treatment for “cheap rooms”. Shower was really good.. toilets were all okay. Breakfast was devastating!! I am a vegetarian, I look forward for hotel breakfast, I didn’t see breads and cheese.. I understand that Muslims are fasting, that doesn’t mean that you can cut on the breakfast. I only had a cup of porridge, and I don’t think that’s worth the price I pay for my buffet. If you’re cutting down on food please don’t offer breakfast option. Overall service good, food extremely bad, room was ok

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Sound proof not strong.. can hear the sound from outside. Water pressure is good enough. Air cond sound is very noise even i open low volume. Lift system definitely is suck, only 2 lifts available. The management should upgrade their hotel. Breakfast selection is limited. There is room for improvement

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The rooms here are reasonably priced for a comfortable bed, luxurious bathroom with bath tub and toiletries, clean environment and good service. If anything goes wrong, a quick call to their staff sends someone to troubleshoot it. Parking ticket can be endorsed at the reception.
The pool was great and I have a feeling that the water there is heated, which is excellent for an evening dip.
View on the rooftop deck is beautiful. The palace and KL's 4 tallest buildings can be viewed from there.
My only feedback for improvement is a clearer direction and signage for hotel parking. I had to ask the security guards near Plaza Damas to confirm that the parking entrance is at the Plaza (there were no clear signs to indicate so).
