โ โ โ โ โ Good food but really bad service and definitely not acceptable for such a high priced place. It started that we were told that there will be no Sashimi after 8 pm. However, not because it was sold out and after we arrived the place before 8 pm and had to wait for our table which was booked for 7:30 pm. After talking to the manager, we finally got an Omakase with Sashimi. Then we suddenly got the bill, even before the dessert (part of the menu) was served. Later I ordered an espresso and got a cold black coffee only. I was not told that thereโs no espresso and cold coffee is a no go in any case. Then we were told to leave before 10 pm, even though there was still lots of Sake. Only after insisting, we got a place to sit organized in the hotel lobby to finish our drinks.

โ โ โ โ โ First and foremost I appreciate staff at hanaya for getting us up to chef table after someone couldn't make it. Secondly hands up to the chef whom made our sushi , for us it was our first time for omakase and the be sitting at chef table. So all in all very good experience. Food is excellent and environment and service top notch. Will be back again.

โ โ โ โ โ A choice between a course or ala-carte meal. The prices in the ala-carte menu are pretty fair considering this is a hotel restaurant. The Special Wa Zen is a good choice if you like variety and have a big appetite. Interestingly, that set comes with natto. If you don't take raw food, go for the Hanaya Bento which is served in a novelty box. Good quality, and fresh ingredients. Attentive service. Reservations recommended.

โ โ โ โ โ Life got you down? Feeling meh from the pandemic? Drop by Hanaya for their omakase. Guaranteed to cheer you up with good food aplenty.
The wagyu beef is not too fatty, enough bite to savour each morsel, and the sauces - yuzu pepper, truffle oil, preserved szechuan pepper all transform each bite of beef (and foie gras) into a delightful experience. The sushi omakase is also full of little surprises.
Do try to grab a seat where the chefs are preparing the food in front of you. I daresay you'd learn a few things. Bookings a must, can't wait to go back for their spring menu.

โ โ โ โ โ Wonderful place right in the center of KL. Very knowledgeable and patience omakase chef. Willing to explain every item in detail and accommodate to customer's request. The food is nothing short of spectacular. Very fresh ingredients prepared professionally.
