The ingredients must be fresh because we love everything we ordered. The noodles in my soup are perfect, the salmon tastes fresh. The minced tuna belly sushi is soooo good with pops of salmon roe. The grill beef is cooked nicely with delicious sauce. Wonderful experience & will come again

Imagine how bad it was when your customer start to search for google review during the wait for food, it definitely no where near how it was years back. And no where near to taste of japan, don't even mention those taste of small alley in japan, it just barely comparable to local malaysia small sushi restaurant standard. Food quality wise have a look at those photos and you'll know, what kind of rice you're serving while charging customer so high price? Sticky beras putih instead of japan pearl rice? Comes in chunky state instead of fluffy. Next is your tuna, not fresh at all in the sushi set, mushy and bland, and you skipped that ingredient on the kampachi maki you served us. Talking about maki, i have no idea what on earth which part of the salmon you put in some of the maki which chewed like rubber. Next, Tempura got cooked like pisang goreng tepi jalan? Beef, mushy again. I believe the only fresh thing i had is only the fruits (not good grade of fruits) Done with foods, next is services, 1st strike as you all can read from many other customers' comments, giving that "meh" expression where anything can be judged from your customer, ranges from attire, time taken to order food etc. The only politeness received was from the ones with "trainee" tag on the chest. Next, how much common sense your attendants need to understand about serviette is to be used by customer, but not to be placed any food or other things on? Not once not twice but almost every dish they served, they'll do that. Spoons too, have to be requested multiple times for every single dish. And is it "serving food across your customer face to the next person" your standard practice? I don't expect all your attendants graduate from some restaurant college, but in-house training produce such standard from kampachi? And to your online feedback respond, i have no interest to write anymore as everything i wanted to say is as per the above. And if Pavilion KL is reading this, please do reconsider tenancy of this "hot-spot" to some other with more business ethic to uphold your "Pavilion-ness". Is a shame having kampachi at such state, to customers reading this, just avoid this outlet and i believe there's many other good japan foods/restaurants in Pavilion compared to this. P.S prices here can get you same standard of foods with way cheaper price + good services at other spots.

High end Japanese restaurant. Place is cozy and its located at Pavilion level 6 center Court. Restaurant is usually pack. Took awhile to serve us as they have lack of staff. Dishes are great, so does the pricing as u expect from a high end Japanese restaurant. But the service was excellent even though they short handed.

How would you react if you saw cockroach around on the serving table of a Japanese restaurant that famous with Sashimi and sushi? I really can't believe my eyes when I saw that but more unbelievable is, when showed to the staff, they just react as it is normal phenomenon. All they did is cover and killed the cockroach with a tissue! No apology or follow-up from the restaurant manager. What has Kampachi become? As they are dealing with raw food (Sashimi), I'll probably skip this restaurant for safety.

Celebrated our New Year Dinner there. It was packed so it was a bit slow their service. Food was OK but pricey. I ordered a Mix Furai but it was a little blend. But overall it was good.
