β β β β β The locally made CX-5 SUVs offer the best value(and rv) in their class, and I wouldn't even consider the C-HR or HR-V(b-segment, get a hatch instead) or even the CR-V, for zoom-zoom reasons. Avoid the 3 and get this suv of course.
Mazda simply makes great cars, and they are doing better under Berjaya, though you get better warranties with Honda and Toyota. Honda Malaysia offers more safety tech, but Mazda Malaysia is starting to catch up.
Avoid their current gen BT-50 failure. It was a good deal when it first came out(yellow tip front lights) and I even prefer that look with the right minor facelift mods. You could get those 2nd hand. If you want a "sophisticated" suv truck, the Navara with multi-link rear suspension is a good choice, followed by the Ranger of course, which will always have a less comfortable ride because of those rear leaf springs.
The CX-9 might be a bit of a risky investment at this stage. I wouldn't recommend the 2 or CX-3(Japan CBU) if inner space is a priority for you. The 6 is a seriously damn good and under-appreciated car here, and not something you would give your driver to drive. However the new Camry is coming in this(2018) year end. Avoid the Biante if possible, as the Serena is a better choice despite its design flaws, but if RV is not a priority for you, you could just add on a bit more and get an awesome Grand Carnival.
I hope Mazda adds on a turbocharger option for more of their cars in the future. For tax reasons and competition with Honda and Ford(Ecosport) at least.
I am a happy Mazda BT-50 owner by the way(current gen, before the present facelift) and purchased it because it was the best priced/spec-ed vfm suv truck at that time. Use it for work and long distance drives, and receive excellent service over at Mazda PJ federal highway. When I go check out the cars there or at Glenmarie especially when I am passing by, I always received good service, and the whole experience has more "class" compared to small sales outlets, if you know what I mean. That is how a Mazda buying experience should be. You could always ask if there are any additional discounts at smaller sales outlets of course and compare with the big branches before buying. If the difference is not significant, I would advise you to buy at the bigger outlets that also have a full size service centre. The big outlets would also have more ready test drive units usually.

β β β β β I am a foreigner and I was lost there. I have no idea how is this shop ~ I entered asking for help and was ignored and almost kicked. All tell me that they do not live here... but i think they need to know at leat that Grab stops there and they need to know what shops or hotels are around.
I believe all that shops should cooperate!
I was really disappointed from Malay people there!
