★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very basic charlet with comfortable bed, relatively clean and functional a/c. Convenient location for exploring abc or tekek. Owner very friendly and helpful, even picked us up when we arrived to the island! I would definitely recommend to other people looking for a cheap and nice option :) never tried the WiFi since we bought simcards so ni comments on that.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great place! We stayed for four nights and everything was ok! Quiet place in front of the beach and good wifi! The last day we used the BBQ and the man helped us in everything! Here you can rent bikes and do activities! We would came back!!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Had a great 3 nights stay at Mokhtars Place. Very friendly, clean and comfortable - great value for money. I highly recommend, it was one of the nicest compounds on ABC beach, plenty of space, a good night's sleep.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ What a nasty place is this. They don’t clean the room before you move into it, we found a razor blade from the people before us in the bathroom. When we asked them to clean it they told us: ‘it’s a no service room’. The matrasses are full with mold and bedbugs and if you make a comment about it they just ask you to leave the room. Also they claim to offer the best prices for excursions but in reality it’s way cheaper at other places. I would highly recommend to walk straight past this nasty accommodation and find a place with owners that don’t just want to make money of off tourists because the vibe at tioman island is so great most locals are genuinely kind!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The best place , BY FAR, for snorkel rentals. They have 2h, half day and one day options. Most places only offer full day and at 20 ringgit. I also went on the boat trip with them. Very good, relaxed guide. I've attached photos with the prices and descriptions of the trips (September 2018).

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Nice spacious clean wooden chalets priced at 40 - 50 ringgit. Right on beach front. Friendly owners. Wifi at reception but can catch it in the chalets closest ( using it right now in fact). Bicycle rent. Definitely would recommend staying here. I've stayed in 4 different place here and this was the best value for money.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ One of the better budget options on ABC. 30 for single, 50 for double in the low season. Nice little bungalows, with good bed, decent bathroom and a fan. Bungalows are nicely positioned (unlike some of the other places) so that from most bungalows you can van the ocean. Nice little beach just in front, shop next door and restaurants nearby. Owners are very friendly and helpful.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I changed to Mokthar’s Place after I’ve spent two nights at another place which was way too expensive. While discovering ABC Beach I came across this place and his wife was so friendly, smiling all the time and showed me a room.
I took the room with A/C which was nice and clean. Only downside was that there was no mosquito net (in fan rooms there are ones) and no washbasin.
I payed RM70 each night during Ramadan.
Overall, the owners were so friendly and I really enjoyed staying with them!
