★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Standard has kept since the first time I visited. Very friendly staffs, very authentic Japanese curry rice. Ocha is refillable and you can even ask for more curry sauce! Highly recommended!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Shokudo Japanese Curry Rice is located in Taman Paramount, PJ. They serve a variety of Japanese curry rice and udon. Each curry rice order of chicken, pork, beef, seafood or vegetables can have addons of omellete, cheese or onsen egg. For the vegetable section, the house speciality is phuture meat tofu burger. However, the waiter informed us that the curry isn't vegetarian it uses bones to cook; strict vegetarians, do take note. The food was tasty and servings of adequate size. However, the dish is rather plain, since the curry sauce does not have carrots or potatoes to add some flavour and variety. The green tea drink is refillable by self service. We received polite service and food was promptly served. Ordering is at the counter.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Noodles are just so so. Lacking in depth of flavor as it's quite a one-dimensional taste. Rice is much better with a bit of "wok hei". Croquettes are quite pricey but worth one try. Please remind the staff to watch their distance when speaking to customers or when serving meals as they get too close and less than 1 meter distance.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A decent place if you are craving for Japanese curry. Many choices of meats and you can opt for omelette or onsen for your egg (add cost).
The curry was not bad. The Ebi was deliciously fried and flavourful. The burger was not bad but portion was a bit small. Omelette was nice.
Staffs were friendly and polite. Prices are above average. Grab eWallet was accepted here.

Their curry gravy is thick, great in flavour. Those who like pork belly, must try as theirs will melt in the mouth.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ My first visit. Conclusion - will NOT return. It's just simply overpriced. The curry rice is their signature but the portion is just too small for the 22.90 they are asking. The taste is nothing outstanding. Overall, nothing impresses. The green tea is a rip-off, the gyoza tastes average. The service is also strange. There's table service but the waiters do not take orders. I had to walk to the cashier counter to pay in advance, after making my selections seated at the table. It's strange indeed!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The inside is decent though the seating reminds me of a cafeteria with their long tables. I tried their signature which was the Curry Rice, the plate was big and the portion looked big but actually its just normal, the curry sauce made it look bigger than it really is. Taste wise its pretty good and the breading on the Tonkatsu was nicely done very crispy. However their green tea pricing is straight up atrocious even if it is refillable, the container to refill is next to the cashier and its where everyone has touched or will touch. For Rm22.90 it is quite pricey but I would say it is still worth it, not regularly though.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Comfortable place for comfort food like Japanese Curry Rice. Ordered their Hirekatsu Japanese Curry Rice and added on an omelette. Portion was sufficient to fill my stomach and tasted really good too. Thick and rich curry gravy made me can’t stop eating it with the rice!
And as usual, Japanese curry is way less spicy than Indian curry so if you would like to get the heat hitting your mouth, you may want to go for the spicy version (dark curry).
Overall, great experience and highly recommended.
