I would say this is my worst omakase experience ever.. Sashimi doesnt taste fresh.. They pre-sliced the fish and keep inside the chiller while waiting for customer to arrive.. service not up to point as well.. Definitely doesn't worth the price we are paying.. 1st time in my life having omakase which nigiri serve to me and the rice / uni drop off.. When the food drop, chef took a sheet of nori and wrap it underneath the sushi rice and serve it to us.. Seriously dont know what am i having.. Is this consider as omakase? Feel like leaving the restaurant after having the 2nd dish.. So much disappointment, lot of improvement needed..

Visited for lunch, had the Niji coming in at RM488. It is represented to be premium nigiri sushi with uni and caviar. The term caviar is used in its broadest sense, and to Mr. Suru (or whoever designed their menu), it means the travesty that is truffle β€œcaviar”. Glorified boba balls with truffle infusion. BUT Because it’s truffle caviar they are pretty generous with it. With uni means a grand total of 1 nigiri with uni that showed up in a botan ebi / foie gras / truffle caviar / uni combo. Might have showed up another time, but I forget. So alright, 2 nigiri at most. Hot stuff. To their credit, they did throw in a piece of foie gras they never mentioned. Nigiri done in the shoyu rice style, and the ingredients should definitely have been better for the price point. Chefs are skilled, but seem trained to assemble ingredients rather than cook, giving a very robotic feel to the preparation. Service was excellent, sake selection was great, presentation was decent. Premise design is phenomenal, and probably the highlight of the experience. Omakase should be all about the food right? Yes it is. 10/10 would not recommend, but what’s done is done. Suru has to shape up, or risk getting phased out of Malaysia’s blossoming haute dining culture. No photos, because I’m not about that life.

Ordered the RM488 lunch menu and rather disappointing with the food. Some dishes are very fishy! Staff and chef looks inexperienced as well. Not worthy of this price and I have eaten many better ones from Singapore.

It was quite good but the portion for my food was really small, very generous with their caviar though. I would not recommend the place due to its fast changing on their plates and would refill the drinks way to often sometimes. The food was rather decent but overall the omakase place was disappointing and way to expensive for its service and a portion of 3 snails lined up.

Worst service ever coming from an omakase restaurant. Waiter and waitress (man & the lady in blazer) were blunt and rude, brushing side by side to clear tables and to refill tea without even having the basic courtesy to ask whether we are even done. They could at least learn to say β€˜excuse me/coming through’ rather than just brushing from one side to another. Rather unpleasant coming from an upscale eatery. Waiter/waitresses from Rakuzen or any other chain Japanese restaurants scored way better than the two. Hostess (Janelle) and sushi chefs were very friendly and pleasant! They definitely made up to the mishap!

Glad managed to get a table for 2 pax on a Friday night at 630pm. Wonderful omakase. Very wide choice range for the cheapest RM388 per pax. Non traditional. Very fusion like. Chef was very accommodating and friendly. Will visit again and bring the gang. ????

Modern omakase. Chic ambience. Food was decent. Grilled octopus was disappointing. Tasted mushy like it was frozen prior. The whole experience felt a little like that Diner Dash game. Wait staffs clearing off a tad too quick. When we finished the course we still had half a bottle of sake left.
