β β β β β Food overall are so so...... Only Tsukune, Pork Belly and salad taste okay.
Seaweed on the rice not as tasty as good Japanese restaurants. soup have soap smells.
Moreover, the last order is 9.30pm even it open till 11pm......?

β β β β β Went for dinner. We had the Soboron don, Tonkatsu-don and the matcha tiramisu. The food is nice and the portion is huge, especially the Tonkatsu don, we got two layer of fried pork, lol. The staff are friendly and attentive as well.

β β β β β Nice place to hangout. Have Lunch/dinner menu, small bites, Matcha tiramisu, sake, beer.
The Matcha Tiramisu is lovely, taste not too sweet, nice to pair not only with tea, also can pair with beer or sake as well.

β β β β β Not much choice at dinner time and alot of them out of supply. After I ordered and an hour of waited, the dinner sets were served to all except me, then the waitress informed me that the set i ordered just finished. After I changed an order and another half an hour of waiting, i decided to cancel the order but the waitress told me that the meal is ready. So she rushed to serve me with rice ONLY. After few minutes of confusion only she said she served wrongly, took the rice back and served again when the correct order ready. The meal is so so, not acceptable, not worth at all.

β β β β β They advertised inside out of the shop. So i decided to go for beef katsudon set. This is what I ordered which cost me RM 38.
Bad Thing:
1) Soup taste like Chicken Rice soup
2) Comes with BBQ Sauce, CHICKEN RICE CHILLI, green onions with soy sauce. I wonder why is Chicken Rice again? My friend convinced me that it's being localise. Come on. If shop owner decide to localise, PLEASE SERVE OUTSIDE OF J-GATE Dining. Don't disappointed Malaysian taste buds. We seek for Authentic Food.
3) Supposedly cabbage is for refreshing. To increase the refreshing feeling, they over added vinegar which feels like pickled cabbage. I wonder how should i taste the beef when cabbage is such overpowered.
4) Crust for the beef is so bad that even Aeon's foodmarket croquette crust is better than them.
Good Thing:
1) Rice is properly cooked. It's the best thing in this menu.
2) BBQ on charcoal kinda new thing. (BUT they provide you plastic chopsticks. )

β β β β β It meant as a bar with mainly serving yakitori with beer for you to chats with friends after work. But still have some lunch/dinner set provided.
Try the grilled chicken set and one of the pork belly yakitori. Overall, the meat is well cooked, chicken is grilled with strong favour, the torimabushi set I ordered is served with a empty bowl for you to mix the ingredients, especially rice and chicken with the chicken broth to lessen the grilled chicken strong flavour. But the taste of the meal is nice, even the broth itself not strong taste. Love the half boiled egg where they served in different plate for you to choose how to mix in your meal. The only difference is the set not come with drink.
The pork belly yakitori is nice, it design to wrap with cheese inside, but the overall cheese would not make the meal to greasy as the portion is little. Maybe they tends to make you keep order for more as a snack for beers.
Even though the variety of dishes is medium, but strongly recommend.

β β β β β Actually not that bad many choices. Definitely go for their yakitori because they 're famous of it and I liked their Matcha tiramisu ( very smooth and can taste the fresh milk from Japan ).
Value sets always available everyday,

β β β β β Supposedly famous for yakitori but IMHO just tasted average. While the pork belly yakitori was huge, the taste was certainly not the best Iβve tasted. Price was very reasonable though at Rm15 for 2 sticks. The pork katsudon was ok but there were too much sauce in the bowl until the rice was all soaked up. Prefers less sauce and more dry rice. Generally the price was very reasonable though.
