Rooms 1/5 Spacious but looks like never cleaned. The wood structures are rotting and it looks like there are ants and all sorts of insects eating it up. Bedsheets smell so funky. I got so many bites and it still hurts after days. Thank god got aircon, if not i would’ve left the island. They do not provide soap or shampoo, and there is no shop for you to buy essential things. Not every room has kettle, u have to ask from front desk then bring it back to your room. Facilities 2/5 Not much to do here, most exciting thing I did was cycle. No TV, entertainment or anything of that sorts. Very small private island, beach and sea is clean and beautiful. Food 1/5 They will provide food four times a day. If you don’t like the food that they provide you will have no choice but to starve because they don’t have a restaurant to order food. Not very ideal, some people may have allergies or picky kids. I suggest you bring lots of snacks if you wish to come here. Staff 4/5 Friendly, they can provide for my special request but they are slow and i assume because they are understaffed. Conclusion : This place should not be called “resort”. The island is beautiful but very private, maybe only suitable for old people who want quite place.

The room was very old with low maintenance made. Dirty toilet and dirty room, lots of lizards. Couldn’t sleep with the lizards making noises every night. Very dusty too. Staffs were polite no doubt. They were kind enough to let us refill dishes which were very generous. The good tasted great, especially nasi lemak and sambal. Was a bit upset when I asked the staff to serve my breakfast to the beach and was asked beach chair or gazebo and I answered beach chair but my good were served at the gazebo instead and I was not informed until we waited for 30 minutes and asked the staff ourselves. Other than that the beach was the only selling point. Honestly if efforts are put to upgrade the condition of the villas, this will be a perfect stay. What a pity!

Peaceful and relaxing Island. A great place to spend time with family. Air-con is provided but water heater is not provided. Rent a bicycle (RM5/hours) and cycling around the island.

A 3d2n getaway at this small island from 30-Apr to 2-May. My 1st trip after 2 years. The resort is reachable by taking private boat arranged by the resort from Mersing Jetty. Car can park at reserved parking area next to jetty. The island is relatively nearer if compare island like Tioman, it was less than 30min boat ride. The crowd also lesser. The resort is beautiful with traditional Malay wooden house design. My room is Exevutive Villa Seaview, right beside the lounge, noise from lounge is expected, as wooden house not soundproof. Room and toilet are spacious. Threre are 5 single beds and with air-conditioner, ceiling fan and standing fan. Towel is provided and with basic toiletries like soap and shower gel. Lucky that we did bring our own toothbrush, toothpaste and other personal toiletries. The 3 meals that served by resort were good. No complaint. Beautiful white sand beach and clear blue water with fishes. We rented two electric scooter to take a tour on the island, it was fun. The only downside is there were too many red ants in my room, at toilet and on the bed. We have bites over body, not sure is bed bugs or the red ants. Insect repellant not working too. We did feedback to the resort, hope they do take care this in future. Overall, it is a very pleasant experience and we will come back again.

I went to this accommodation with my company, a total of 15 pax, booked the sea view bungalow. Don't get me wrong, in terms of view, it was absolutely stunning, breathtaking even. However, the cleanliness of our room is nothing less of a nightmare. The cushions some of us gotten were dirty, looked like there were stains from many past visitors, some not able to use too because of how dirty it was, nothing was done to even hide it lol. The lower ground toilet was disgusting as the clog had hair. Bed mites; there were bed mites! A lot of us got bitten and caused unbearable itchiness, even the jellyfish marks couldn't compare to the itchiness bed mites got us. Service was not bad, people were friendly there and that's the only redeeming factor. A lot of requests were done swiftly as long as we asked but the cleanliness was too bad, we even brought Febreze there to spray the beds as there were past complaints but it still couldn't save us from the itch. In terms of food, it was traditional Malay cuisine but sometimes repetitive, no fixed / informative menu, it was a guessing game everyday, not too bad not very good either. Wished this place had better cleanliness, because that's the major downside of it all. View, beach, activities provided were all 10/10 but accommodation might have to reconsider.

Overall a great place to spend time with family. 1.Staff were friendly but there have been mixed signals which shows lack of training (eg. Upon questioning was told evening tea not provided and if hungry, I can cycle to next resort to buy burger. However, at tea time I see people dining at the lobby). A pdf pamphlet or instruction to customers regarding what to expect would be sooo helpful as the staff do not give you the needed information upon check in. I have to ask and ask regarding mealtimes and activities. 2. Meals: bfast, lunch dinner served at the lobby area. The tables are allocated by room abd the staff will bring the meals to your table. Mealtimes were hassle free and the food was tasty. However in between meals you should bring your own snack. There are no free flow coffee/tea but there is free flow drinking water. This is a bummer if you wake up early and cant get coffee or if you want tea after dinner. Also no tea making facilities in the room provided. Kettle and iron is provided upon request but there is extra charge. 3.Room: comfortable and right in front of the beach. Super convenient. However toilet needs upgrading. Large towels are provided and smells great 4.Facilities: sunbathing lounge chairs, hammocks, swing balls available by the beach. There are are shades available on the beach so the kids can play on the beach even during midday. Taps provided in front of each room to wash off the sand. Basically they have given this some thought and we really enjoyed our beach time.5. Bicycles: bicycles are availabe for rent for RM5 per hour and there are even scooters for those who cant cycle but want to join in. The scooters are battery operated and does not require a license. However there are no functioning kids bike. Some bikes have toddler carry ons but those are limited. Try out the coconuts sold at the end of the trail. You can also stop and try out the burger near D palma coconut. They also sell light snacks there. 6. Island hopping available at RM80 per head for three islands. Nice snorkeling spots but tour guide was not too friendly and did not explain the sites. Also did not give us any mineral water. 7. Hiking available free of charge. It was a 3 hour hike with one of the staff who is not a trained guide. But hey its free so we were alright. This is a great place for family/friends gathering.Tip is to bring your own tea/coffee and pay extra for the kettle. Bring your own snack if you have kids. It may not be suitable for people with disabililities as on low tide the climb off the boat onto jetty may be difficult but there are staff to assist. What I didn't like about this resort was that there is a lack of professionalism and quality in the service. Sometimes it felt like the staff are overworked and are just moving us along as fast as possible. We also got soaked from head to toe on the boat ride back as the resort. This could have been avoided if the resort provided us a boat with a cabin instead of the open air boat. Despite all this, overall we had a nice time. Its such a beautiful place to visit. 3 day 2 night visit was just right for us.

We enjoyed our 3 night stay at Bayu Lestari. This is more a place to rest and relax. No entertainment on the island. Good to come as a group and have your own fun. Need to bring own snacks/drinks esp travelling with kids. Food is local fare and staff are friendly. Good getaway from the city.
