Super delicious steam chicken that goes with hor fun (kwetiaw noodles) and tauge. Owner uncle opened the shop since he was 16, already existed for 60years. So much respect for the authenticity and quality of the food here ❤️❤️❤️ Come early around 5.50 if possible, there will be a queue already usually

Ordered Hor Fun soup RM2.50, small plate of chicken RM18, chicken feet RM7, chicken innards RM7 and beansprouts RM7. I like the chicken feet, it tastes good, I think they have added a bit of spices like cumin to braise the feet. Hor Fun soup and beansprouts are good. The white chicken is ordinary. Came here on a Monday at 5:05 pm before the shop opening hours (5:30pm) and there were people queuing already. Overall food taste was good, what I liked most was the chicken feet and beansprouts (taugeh).

One of the top spot for beansprout, steamed chicken and hor fun soup. Highly recommended the local pals. Place is clean and tidy, not too crowded. Sop practice is critical at this moment and they comply. Definitely coming back. Kudos.

I have not had Ipoh's world famous bean sprout and chicken in 2 years, so I insisted that this be our first meal IMMEDIATELY upon our return. This was our first visit to Cowan St and their reputation did not disappoint! Looking past their humble storefront and decor, the food really speaks for itself. Noodles were silky soft in an EXTREMELY flavorful broth. Beansprouts plump and crisp and well seasoned with soy and white pepper. Chicken had great texture and flavour seasoned to perfection with subtle flavours from the oil and soy. The bonus chicken feet were braised to a perfect melt-in-your-mouth texture in a rich soul comforting sauce. Overall a GREAT welcome back to Ipoh meal! Courteous staff observed COVID protocols and best practices.

Type: Chinese Restaurant Signature: Chicken Horfun Being on the No1 Spot for Chicken & Horfun (Taugeh Chicken) for decades and an Ipoh top delicacy... This is a must visit place when you are in Ipoh. Do take note that the restaurant has uncertain opening hours (usually from 6pm to 930pm) do check first before you visit to avoid disappointment. Do take note also that this is NOT a chicken ? rice ship (they don't serve rice). Anyway, we ordered one whole chicken 5 ?, a plate of bean sprouts 5 ? (always a must!), and another signature chicken feet 5 ?, and a few bowls of hor fun 5 ?. Plus drink... For a table of 4 the bill came out to be RM105 which was a bit pricey for Ipoh standard. The food here especially the Signature chicken was cooked to perfection.... smooth, flavorful, and absolutely delicious. The bean sprouts here is ipoh styled (short and fat) which goes really well with the chicken and Hor Fun. The chicken feet (Phoenix Claw) here was so good that even when I don't usually eat chicken feet.. I had a few bites. Being a favourite since I was a kid, I love the hot fun texture and the Taugeh crunchiness... which was cooked to perfection. However I had comments from my other friends that the meat was a bit salty and maybe too raw (you will see slight blood on the chicken meat) and also some comments that it's too oily. Depending on your taste buds... I believe this place is not for everyone... As I am of the opinion that this is the best chicken Taugeh place in all of Ipoh and probably Malaysia. First time here. Never got an opportunity. One staff who is managing cleaning table is so rude. Table is oily and politely ask her to wipe , she just ignored. Others is ok. Food wise I had to say nothing to shout about. It may used to be good. It does not keep to the standard others raves about before. Half chicken cost me rm30+. I would say it’s on the high side.
