โ โ โ โ โ Food is average China food and oily. Portions small. The service is cold and unfriendly. Staff are poorly trained and they pretend to not see you when you try to flag them down to take order. One of the lady boss told my sister to not move the chair as it will scratch the floor. What a joke!
What a shame as this was recommended by someone we know who's a "VIP" there and we received better treatment when they were there. Will not return.

โ โ โ โ โ Excellent Chinese food - the owner is China national from Harebin.
The style of dishes is different from Malaysian Chinese or Cantonese Chinese cooking and definitely worth trying.
Pricing is mid tier with decent serving size.
Worth paying a visit to try them out. Service is excellent as well.
Overall a very pleasant and great dinning experience.

โ โ โ โ โ Serves Shunde cuisine so it's Chinese food that may be unfamiliar to a lot of us here in Msia. Considerably spicy and we had to ask for the heat level to be dialed down. Price is ok considering the amount we ordered and that included seafood.

Dao Xiang is an offshoot of the famous Youmeiqi Shunde restaurant near Old Klang Road. Located at Bangsar South, this restaurant specializes in Chinese Shunde cuisine (very Cantonese style), a genre thatโs not commonly found in Klang Valley.
I'm a frequent visitor of this restaurant for years.. And it's Signature copper pot seafood combo 4 ? (steamboat kinda concept) has never failed me before and it's also the first place I think of when I have hotpot attack โบ. Do note that unlike steamboat or hotpot.. U pick and choose what you put inside to cook. Here everything gets thrown into the big copper pot.
I would recommend first.. taking out seafood from the pot as chances is that most will be overcooked (imagine cooking 30mins of tiger prawns.. Will probably turn rubberish). The usual set comes with fish (see below), tiger prawns, lala, crab or u can even pick and choose razor clams or lobsters. We took out the lala in less than a minute.
They have a wide selection of fishea to choose from.... To the tune of tiger grouper, marble goby, patin, black tilapia, etc. Be sure to choose a fish that needs long cooking time... To enhance the flavour. Since I like seafood fresh and less cooked... I prefer choice of fish that will cook fast.
Another recommended fish it's the Crab Mee Hoon 4.5 ? which is really good. I also love the Chee Cheong Fun here 5 ? but when I went on this visit it was sold out already.
The food here is not cheap as a regular meal will cost u anything between RM300 and RM500 depending on the choices of your seafood (for 3 pax). Service is pretty good and staff here are attentive to your needs.

โ โ โ โ โ The seafood pot filled with fresh prawns, garoupa and crabs was full of flavour. A little bit salty but ideal when mixed with rice. The dishes of mala beef, garlic cabbage and lamb were nothing to shout about. The prawn omelette though was awesome. Ideal balance of softness and charred plus generous portions of prawns. The bill for 5 pax was above RM1000. Too expensive.

โ โ โ โ โ My colleague wanted to try this restaurant, i never even knew this restaurant existed, was sceptical at first.
Be sure to place your order with the ladyboss because she needs to write it in chinese. We wrote it in english at first but she came in and we had to point again. Yes we are all bananas who can speak but dont know how to write.
Think we went overboard with the ordering lol, theres 7 of us. Dishes were really good, i enjoyed it. Squid is kinda small, the others, portion are big. No idea on the pricing (my travelling colleague got the bill :)) we had the private room and minimum spend is RM500 so guess ours is above that.
