β β β β β Fresh ingredients, the taste of each dish is superb, friendly chef who knows exactly what to do with the ingredients, and creates lovely dishes out of them. Had a smooth and fruity sake recommended by the waitress to down these proteins with. Definitely coming back for more!

β β β β β Great Anniversary dinner at Kappo Takebayashi. We had tons of good food. The waitress Alice knows her stuff and recommended a superb dinner. The food is top notch, service is good. If the Chef is free you can speak to him and give him feedback. Pricing is reasonable unless you go for the wagyu beef. The Hokkaido Buta-Don (RM18) is heavenly! Don't miss it.

β β β β β Oh my god. I think I just found my favourite Japaneseβs restaurant in KL. friendly and attentive staffs, freshest ingredients and amazing cooking skills. Everything we ordered was amazing but my favourite will be the assorted sashimi, their signature sushi house roll was amazing too. Price is on the higher side but itβs def worth it because the portion is very big. LOVE IT. Thank you so much for this amazing lunch.

β β β β β Higher quality Japanese cuisine. Not too pricey, considering the location. Friendly staffs. Nice selection of Japanese drinks. We ordered some sparkling sakae. Served with mini champagne glasses. A good place to meet up with business partners to strike your next deal!

Visited Kappo for lunch sets, and it was awesome! Tried their Oyako Don (pictured) RM20+ for whole set - Lunch Set β Creamy saucy eggs with chicken breast on rice. // and Saba Shioyaki Set (pictured) RM30+, both prices were good value for portion, taste and quality. β 2 large pieces of mackerel, served with rice, daikon, etc.
They serve lunch sets so plus point! Value lunch sets at good price.
Also tried their Salmon Set, good stuff. Chicken Karaage portions is pretty big and huge chunks of fried chicken. Rice is authentic. Chawanmushi (egg) one of the bests, very very soft and packed with shrimps, and other ingredients. Miso soup has clams too! Iced green tea is okay.
Service is quite fast and good too. Enjoyable experience! Could be better if ambience is improved and a little bit of space layout. Otherwise, good stuff! Will recommend and will be visiting soon! β¨

β β β β β The restaurant wasn't crowded at all could be due to the current pandemic. We arrived just before 6pm after the restaurant was briefly opened. The food was fantastic and these photos are some of the orders that we tried.

β β β β β Another unexpected find here, wasnβt plan/review the place before and surprisingly the food/service there was great.
Place is not really huge, but clean and spacious. Staff are polite and welcoming.
Loved their grill pork rice set, flavourful and delicious - highly recommend this. However, price is on the higher side but you get quality food.
