★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Super messy q system. Was q to get number at outside. Then officer said can go inside directly. End up all walked to inside. After that another officer scold all for q inside without number. End up all walked out and q again. By the time got to end of q and being told today walk in number all being taken.....wasted so much time and being ran around like crazy ppl end up with nothing.....imaging those parents with young kids and old folks being walked around like this.....

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I went to do the renewal of my International passport on the 18th of April and accompanied with a scheduled appointment i obtained online, I was shocked to find the place overcrowded with people. I had been allocated a time of 11am and thought it would be a breeze. The surroundings was just so packed that one could not even get a seating place to wait. After an unusually long wait of 3hours I was able to meet the officer in charge and was pleasantly engaged with a one Ms Indira and she was a breath of fresh air. She went through the process in such a jiffy but thorough. I was most pleased to get this officer while she took my passport photo in the midst of the crowd. I was most pleased to meet this officer as she made me believe in our system. Its such officers that we need to engage with the applicant, calm and unassuming and yet friendly and most pleasant. Despite the long wait Ms Indira was most efficient in her task. She directed me to the next steps without any fuss as well. Generally the other staff were okay when you enquire but they did not go further. Making payment for the passport fees was another drag as had to wait for another lengthy period. Meanwhile the supposed distance between individuals was not maintained especially in the present covid era and it was preposterous. I was taken aback with regard to the overcrowding and extremely slow process of a mere renewal of my passport. This is how outbreaks commence.
Collection time was another mess but the officer in charge went about his task as per norm whilst people were stacked like cattle !! The social distancing was not possible due to the crowd but the department should find apt means to sort this mess and not trigger more outbreaks. On the whole it was most unpleasant. To make matters worse, the public is not even allowed to park their vehicles in the parking space and are made to park a far distance at our inconvenience.
To put it succintly, the Immigration is a long way off from managing its crowds in a constructive and faster means. This ridiculous situation did not exist as badly as it does today.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ For passport renewal you guys can come here.. The officers here are very helpful especially Officer K. Indira and Penyelia Alif. Actually my appointment was 2pm but a little late due to heavy traffic. But then when I made enquiry to officer K.Indira, she attended me with great smile because I was quit nervous since I had problem with my thumb print. Thank God Officer K.Indira and Penyelia Alif help me settle the problem. Much recommended ?

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Officers were very helpful. My passport had expired and I took a risk coming in from Singapore (one-way ticket for me) to walk in to renew coz I couldn't do it online. They didn't push me away like the officer at UTC Johor and made me stand hours in the queue. This place is so much better. From the time I arrived, got my queue to getting my passport, it took me 4 hours. Better than my 4 hours wasted standing in queue at UTC johor.

I will recommend to renew your passport via their website and just collect them. *faster
Please check your receipt where to collect example Johor Bahru (Setia Tropika) and UTC Johor Bahru (Near City Square)
You will need to take queuing number on the lobby before enter the lift.
You will need to bring hard copy of receipt to collect your passport.
Drop your official receipt at the counter 11.
The officer will having break time between 12pm to 2pm.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I have made an online passport renewal appmt in July. As I am required to travel for business urgently before July, I tried to call and walk in with my company supporting letters.
All the officers are very patient and helpful. They listened and tried to accommodate my request.
Encik Syaipul.A who attended my case, very friendly and helpful. Worked me through the procedure. Despite the huge crowds, the whole process only took me 2.5 hours. Not forgetting to thanks the team at the collection section.

Indira, was very friendly as well as informative.. the process could have been even quicker if more counters were operational.. other than that, smooth sailing ????
